John Georgoulas has more than 15 years’ experience in corporate governance, finance, strategic planning, public and government affairs acquired in Greece and Cyprus.

Since 2010, he is the General Manager of The Economist events in Cyprus organizing two major events every year in the areas of Finance, Public policy and Energy and the General Manager for Cyprus for The Economist - The World in series Greece & Cyprus editions. He was the Senior advisor to the Chairman at The Paraskevaides Group and the Director of the International Presidential Business Advisory Council in Cyprus. He is a member of the board of Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission appointed by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus, the Acting Managing Director of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) in Cyprus and a member of the board of Directors of  G.Paraskevaides (Holding) ltd. John is a certified Director in Corporate Governance with specialization in Banking from INSEAD, he holds a BSc in Business Information Systems from UCLan, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Kingston University and a Diploma of Higher Education in Computer Sciences from Portsmouth University.

He is an IVLP alumni of the Department of State of the USA on Entrepreneurship and business management and President of AHEPA (American Hellenic Progressive Educational Association) ACY001 in Cyprus. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of European University in Cyprus, he sits on the board of Friends of Shriners Hospitals for children Cyprus, and is the Advisor for Cyprus at Industry Disruptors and a Co-host for Global Entrepreneurship Week.
